My husband and I are musicians. And we’re parents. When we are onstage, we do our best to really be ON stage. But all our “backstage” experiences with our son (our little frog) deeply affect who we are as people, thus musicians. Recent insights:
Trad Kids costumes have been hung, the props neatly stored. We are truly moving on to the next big thing… and this includes my husband Matt’s marvelous sing-along season! (Dates below)
A fine guitarist and accomplished singer/performer in concert, it turns out that Matt is also a highly engaging leader of participatory songs and stories for the under 5-year old crowd!
I admit, I am still impressed by Matt’s ease onstage. He is a fine musician, and such a kind and funny performer. But I have never been more impressed than seeing him lead toddlers in his Johnny-Cash-Meets-Mister-Rogers rendition of “The Wheels on the Bus.” Adorbs.
If you’ve got Columbus Day off.. or if you are looking for future morning outings with your little squirt/s at area libraries or book stores… here’s Matt’s Kid Calendar (all events are FREE to public):
